Tanah Abang Water Resources Unit Head, Eli Menawan Sari said high rainfall and water discharge from Bogor caused flooding in the residential area of RW 03, Petamburan Urban Village, in front of Mintoharjo Hospital, Bendungan Hilir, and residential areas of seven RWs, Karet Tengsin Urban Village.

Taskforce personnel were also deployed to fix the water lines and add sandbags at several points of the river flow where sheet piles had not been built.
According to her, the inundation in Karet Tengsin and Bendungan Hilir Urban Villages were caused by the overflow of Krukut River.
"Some of the areas passed by the river have no sheet pile. It was easy for the water to overflow to residential and road," she added.
